We pride ourselves on positively changing the lives of children with autism and related disorders through evidence based practices and a compassionate approach. We have positions available from 15 - 40 hours per week with hours ranging from 8 AM - 7:30 PM depending on your schedule, we offer flexible hours. Must commit to at least 5 days in which you are available between 3:30 -7:30 PM or if you are a student 3 days in which you are available between 12:00 -7:30 PM. Saturdays and Sundays available as well (but not mandatory). Up to $23 an hour DOE.

We offer health, dental and a 401 K in addition to 40 hours of paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician.

About the Behavioral Technician role:

In this role you will work one on one with children, teens and/or young adults with autism and related disorders in their homes, schools and community. Duties will include the following:

  • Take data on observed behavior as trained by your supervisor.
  • Implement protocols (e.g. Behavior Intervention Plans) to help reduce challenging behavior.
  • Work closely with parents and families of assigned clients.
  • Attend trainings on and utilize Applied Behavior Analysis concepts.
  • Establish yourself as a fun and reinforcing aspect of your client’s day.
  • Work in homes of clients
  • Work remotely conducting telehealth appointments

Required Skills:

  • Ability to sit and stand throughout sessions.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs
  • Transportation to and between client homes (may be up to 60 miles a day)
  • Ability to pass background check.
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • A recent physical stating you are able to conduct the physical aspects of the job and copies of immunizations (must have required basic immunizations)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with children (the following are common examples): summer camps, babysitting, preschools, elementary education settings, nanny, tutor, after school care, swim instructor, instructional aide, coach, mentor, etc.
  • Experience working with children and/or teens.
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs.
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Bilingual

Locations: East Bay (Fremont, Dublin, Oakland, Walnut Creek, Livermore, Antioch, etc.); South Bay (San Jose, Palo Alto, Redwood City, Morgan Hill, etc.), and Stanislaus County (Stockton, Lodi, Tracy, Modesto, etc.)
