As a Behavior Interventionist with IABA, you will serve as a key member of our team, specializing in delivering evidence-based, person-centered interventions to support children and adolescents with developmental disabilities like Autism Spectrum Disorder.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of children and adolescents with disabilities by implementing personalized treatment plans, fostering skill development, and promoting positive behavior change. Your primary goal is to provide one-to-one intensive intervention, assisting clients in developing the skills necessary to be integrated into school and other community settings

Using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), you will provide one-on-one support in the home and community, using our positive-only methods to reinforce desired behaviors, and enhance play, self-care, cognitive, social, and communication skills.

LOCATION: NORTH San Diego County (Fallbrook, Valley Center, Escondido, Encinitas, etc.)

Part-time Availability needed: Monday-Friday from 2pm-7:30pm (and Saturdays if available)

10-15 Hours of work per week to start, with potential for more in future!
PAID training provided, including shadowing sessions in the field.

Duties:

  • Conduct scheduled 1:1 behavioral-based instruction sessions, implementing the Intervention Plan under the supervision of the Manager and/or Supervisor.
  • Drive between client homes and work sites throughout North San Diego County.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License and auto insurance
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds, walk, run, bend, squat, kneel, sit and play on the floor, stand for long periods of time, and engage in fast-paced physical activities
  • Keep accurate record of child’s progress in programs
  • Relay observations and relevant information to Senior Behavior Interventionist, Supervisor, or Manager.
  • Relay parent concerns to Senior Behavior Interventionist, Supervisor, or Manager.
  • Participate and contribute to team meetings and group supervision.
  • Assist in maintaining intervention materials.
  • Assist with creation of intervention material.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and adhere to all professionalism guidelines.
  • In the event of an emergency, provide protection to the individual, which may include administering first aid or CPR.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Manager, or Director.

Work environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, grasp or feel; reach with hands and arms; push and pull, and talk, hear, and smell. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Employees in this position may encounter prolonged sitting and/or standing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
