Bilingual School Psychologist Job Duties
Conduct psychological and psychoeducational assessments for students
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans
Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services in both English and Spanish (or applicable second language)
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
Monitor, document, and evaluate student progress
Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations, including IDEA and Section 504
Promote positive school climate and social-emotional learning initiatives
Federal and State Requirements
Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
Valid Illinois state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist or eligibility
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (or applicable second language) required
Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and related education laws
Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Illinois school districts
