Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Psychologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Psychologist to provide compassionate psychiatric and behavioral health services across multiple post-acute care facilities. This role involves commuting between sites, conducting patient rounds, collaborating with facility staff, and delivering assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and follow-up care. The provider will work alongside members of the Psych Division within post-acute settings.
A current Florida license is required.

  • Schedule: 2 days per week

  • Status: 1099/Independent Contractor

  • Hours: Flexible

  • Compensation: Competitive

  • Coverage: Malpractice and tail coverage provided

Primary Functions

  • Conduct patient examinations and document medical/behavioral health history

  • Adhere to proper charting and documentation protocols

  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop care plans

  • Submit care plans and patient goals for periodic physician review

  • Educate patients on wellness, hygiene, diet, and prevention strategies

  • Refer patients to specialists when appropriate

  • Report deaths and communicable diseases according to state guidelines

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Active and unrestricted State of Florida license in good standing

  • Must be an LMHC or Psychologist in Florida

  • Current National Board Certification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills

  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and problem-solving ability

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
