Psychiatrist – Outpatient SUD Treatment Program (OASAS Licensed 822 Facility)

Location: Bronx / Manhattan / Brooklyn, NY

Employment Type: Part-time

About Us:

We are a New York State OASAS-licensed 822 outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) treatment facility, dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. TRI Center has several exclusive Federal, State and Local contracts that require clinical expertise. Our interdisciplinary team is committed to supporting recovery through clinical excellence, compassion, and innovation.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to join our team and provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and ongoing support for patients enrolled in our outpatient programs. The psychiatrist will collaborate closely with our clinical, medical, and administrative staff to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
  • Provide medication management, including MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) when clinically indicated.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, nurses, and counselors to coordinate individualized treatment
  • Monitor and follow up patients’ progress
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with OASAS, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.
  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree with board certification/eligibility in Psychiatry.
  • Current NYS medical license and DEA registration (with buprenorphine waiver)
  • Experience in substance use disorder treatment, including knowledge of MAT protocols.
  • Familiarity with OASAS regulations and 822 program requirements a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Commitment to culturally competent, patient-centered care.
