Join Our Team – Child Care Counselors for Homestretch Kids Club!

At Homestretch Kids Club, we believe after-school hours should be a time for kids to learn, play, and grow in a safe and supportive environment. Our program picks children up from school and provides engaging activities, homework help, and positive social experiences until 6:00 PM or parent pickup.

We’re more than just childcare — we’re a community. Our counselors are role models, mentors, and cheerleaders who help kids build confidence, friendships, and life skills. If you’re passionate about making a difference in children’s lives, we’d love to meet you!

What We’re Looking For:

• Responsible, reliable, and punctual
• Patient and kind, with a genuine love for working with children
• Creative and energetic — able to plan and lead fun activities
• Strong leadership and classroom management skills
• Team player with excellent communication skills (with kids, parents, and coworkers)
• Positive role model who encourages respect, cooperation, and kindness
• Flexible and adaptable in a lively environment
• Organized, attentive, and safety-focused
• Strong practical judgment — able to think on your feet, adapt quickly, and handle unexpected situations with calm and confidence
• Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a supportive team culture

Ideal Candidates:

• Teachers, retired teachers, or education students looking for hands-on experience
• Individuals with prior childcare or youth program experience
• Anyone with a passion for working with children and helping them thrive

Certifications:

• EEC Certified (free and online – we’ll help guide you!)
• First Aid & CPR preferred (additional pay if certified)
• 7D Licensed drivers(additional pay if licensed)
