A full-time leave replacement position is available for a Counselor at a K-12 school located in Mechanicville, NY. This contract role offers an immediate start date and extends through June 26, serving students during the current school year.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive counseling services to a caseload of approximately 237 students ranging from grades 9 to 12. The counselor will support students with academic planning, social-emotional development, college and career readiness, and crisis intervention as needed. Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure students' success and well-being is a key component of the role.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 2:40 PM, and the position requires in-person attendance as virtual work is not an option.

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Valid counseling certification/license appropriate for the grade levels served
• Proven ability to manage a large caseload effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Experience in academic and social-emotional counseling within a high school setting
