An amazing opportunity to join one of Richmond’s most established non-profits in a position that allows you to impact and improve the lives of people and work with a team of caring clinicians.


JFS's Clinicians provides direct counseling, assessments, capacity evaluations, and other clinical services to individuals, families and groups, with a focus on telehealth, and on-site counseling. The Counselor will incorporate core training, experience, expertise and best practice and/or accreditation standards. They provide support to the agency and programs in a manner that is culturally sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. Full administrative backup is provided.


Responsibilities:

  • Providing, facilitating, and building in-office and telehealth counseling practice.
  • Meets billable hours expectations.
  • Work with client(s) to establish individual or group treatment goals. Provide clinical service to clients as assigned. Maintain or obtain counseling skills to meet client needs.
  • Maintain acceptable standards of professional practice.
  • Quality Assurance: Complete all administrative tasks on time and within agency specifications. Maintain case records in accordance with agency requirements. Organize time to meet work obligations. Compile statistical data as needed. Write and express ideas and knowledge clearly in a concise, organized manner. Understand the obligations, function, programs, and services of the agency and their relationship to staff, clients, and the community.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Master's Degree from an accredited School of Social Work (with an LCSW or LPC license) or Doctorate Degree from an accredited School of Psychology or related professional field.
  • They must be licensed in the state of Virginia.
  • Providerships preferred.
