About Job
Breaking Barriers is seeking a Behavior Technician for our growing agency. NOT just any Behavior Technician. We are looking for someone who "gets things done" and doesn't need information spoon-fed step by step. We like our Behavior Technician to be a "think outside the box" type of person. Someone who is not shy. Someone who is a self-starter. IS THAT YOU?
This is a part time position.
Under the direct supervision of the Program Supervisor the Behavior Technician will support the focus person/s in the development, implementation, and success of person-centered goals. In addition, the Behavior Technician will carry out the daily operations of Community Integration/Tailored Services/Job Supports, insuring delivery of all necessary supports and services. Position is in-person, virtual, and/or a combination of both.
Qualifications: College degree and ability to pass a Live-scan background clearance. The applicant will have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Behavior Technician and/or a skill set that matches the person-centered goals of a participant. Must have, or be able to acquire on the job, the necessary skills to perform the responsibilities as stated.
We appreciate a jovial and inclusive atmosphere. We like having fun while doing what we love. You must be comfortable around profanity, either by staff or participants. Must have a sense of humor. Very important skill to have in our field. An absolute must is thick skin. You cannot take situations with participants personally. If you are certain you have these skills, please apply. Looking forward to hearing from you.
