About Us
KA Mental Health Counseling, PLLC is a Black woman-owned, holistic private practice grounded in non-judgment, compassion, and strength-based counseling. We are committed to supporting sustainable well-being by helping clients:
- Release past resentments
- Build emotional tolerance
- Gain greater awareness and clarity
Our approach invites clients to explore the full range of their identities and experiences, including culture, race, gender, sexuality, spirituality, politics, and personal history. We are deeply committed to anti-oppressive, culturally responsive care that honors the whole person.
As an out-of-network provider, we make therapy accessible through affordable rates and sliding scale options for self-pay clients.
Who We’re Looking For
We are currently seeking a Mental Health Counselor (Limited Permit) who is passionate about holistic, depth-oriented therapy. You will join a collaborative team that values emotional integrity, authenticity, and culturally attuned care.
We strongly encourage clinicians from diverse backgrounds—including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, first-generation, multilingual, and immigrant communities—to apply. We are building a team that reflects the diversity of New York and serves its communities with both cultural competence and genuine care.
Training & Theoretical Orientation
At KA Mental Health Counseling, we offer ongoing training in Applied Jungian Analysis as well as other Psychodynamic theories to support clinicians in developing a deep, reflective, and integrative therapeutic practice.
