Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and mental health counseling, with a passion for providing high-quality care to individuals and families. This role involves overseeing clinical staff, ensuring compliance with best practices, and delivering exceptional patient care. The Clinical Supervisor will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment for both staff and clients.

This position is hourly. $70 per hour for providing Clinical Supervision tasks as outlined in this job posting, with an opportunity for increased reimbursement of $80 per hour for providing therapy to our clients.

Clinical Supervisor:

In addition to the role and responsibility of the Therapist, to also provide guidance and training to the therapist(s) who are the supervisees.

Qualifications for Supervisors (per DCFS Program Plan, 4.1.2 Supervisory):

Supervisory staff shall possess a Master’s degree in human services or related field, be licensed and have two years of experience in mental health counseling.

Supervision: All direct service staff will receive at least two hours per month of regular structured individual or group supervision.

  • Oversee the clinical services of multiple pre-licensed, licensed therapists and graduate-level interns.
  • Review the progress notes, progress reports and clinical writing completed by those therapists and interns assigned to him/her. This includes IM-CANS.
  • Review and sign-off on Suicide Assessments completed by those therapists and interns assigned to him/her. Make yourself available to process these assessments with supervisees.
  • Meet with each supervisee once per week in either group or individual format.
  • Meet with each supervisee on an as needed basis to discuss clinical issues, client and/or situations that the supervisee is struggling with.
  • Provide written and signed documentation of clinical supervision meetings.
  • Provide documented evaluation of supervisee’s developmental stage and job performance.
  • Provide Vacation Coverage for other Clinical Supervisors as needed.
  • Participate in monthly Clinical Supervisor meetings.
  • Complete any necessary evaluations for interns whom he/she oversees.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Valid licensure in the state of practice (LCSW or LCPC).
  • Proven experience in behavioral health settings with a focus on pediatrics, crisis management, and individual/group counseling.
  • Humility and the spirit of a life-long learner.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children and couples.
  • Strong leadership skills with prior supervising experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records management is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
