We are a college counseling firm located in Los Angeles, dedicated to guiding students through the U.S. and international college admissions process. Our mission is to help students identify their strengths, develop meaningful extracurricular projects, and craft authentic, compelling application essays.

Location: Hybrid or In-Person

Compensation: $30-$50 per hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced College Counselor to join our team. This role can be part-time or full-time, depending on availability and fit. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with college counseling and a deep understanding of U.S. college applications, including the UC system, Common Application, and private applications. Strong writing, research, and teaching skills are essential, as you will be supporting students in both academic and project-based work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Prior U.S. college counseling or admissions experience required (private counseling or high school counseling
  • Strong critical writing and research skills
  • Must demonstrate strong essay feedback and editing ability — a short writing or feedback sample may be requested
  • Familiarity with U.S. admissions systems (UCs, private colleges, Common App, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and mentorship skills, including proactive outreach to parents and students
  • Relevant certification is a plus
  • Experience working with high school or college students preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide students through all aspects of the U.S. college admissions process
  • Provide expert feedback on college application essays, supplements, student competition submissions
  • Support students in planning and executing extracurricular or research projects
  • Communicate proactively with both students and parents to ensure progress and clarity
  • Communicate actively with team of counselors
  • Mentor students with a balance of academic rigor and emotional support
  • Be available during the busy admissions season (August–January) for increased student demand
