About Job
The primary function of this position is to provide socio-emotional support to individual students and to work in collaboration with adjustment counselors, teachers, and school administrators to develop strategies, routines, and structures to reduce problematic behaviors. Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred • Experience working with students who present with behavioral and social/emotional challenges in a school setting • Preference given to applicants that work in the Social Work field • Excellent organizational skills and communication skills Responsibilities • Provide socio-emotional support to students who have been identified as exhibiting problematic behaviors in the classroom setting • Work in collaboration with building SACs to develop targeted strategies to reduce problematic behaviors • Work in collaboration with SACs, teachers, parents, and school administrators to develop and implement plans for improving behaviors • Provide ongoing assessment of progress • Work directly with classroom staff to implement behavioral support plans • Maintain a log of students receiving Behavior Interventionist support • Maintain up to date data on individual students • Participate in staff trainings related to PBIS, Restorative Justice, Safety Care, and any other training deemed appropriate by building administrator. • Communicate observations and incidents with appropriate personnel (SACs/building administrators) • All other duties as determined by the building administrators Compensation: One to one contract up to $58,000/yearly, depending on experience. Please note: This position is grant funded (TAG FY24). Reports to: Coordinator of School Based Therapeutic and Behavioral Health
