Mental Health Counselor - Psychiatric

8H Day (07:30 AM - 04:00 PM)
Description:
32H/week - Tues 3p-11p, Fri double 3p-7a, Sat 3p-11p
flu required prior to start – season starts 09/02 Schedule may be adjusted as needed.
Bachelor degree required.
Degree in psychology or related field is required.
BLS-AHA, CPI training required.
MHC will be triaging calls, prioritizing the use of clinicians and other resources, will serve as a liaison with related systems and information communication with persons serves. Answers phones, provides initial assessments.
Monitors activity of active and pending cases.
Provides assistance in bed searches, insurance verifications/authorizations, resource and system knowledge sharing.
Ensures quality of care.
Records data and accesses admin on call when needed. Provides feedback to the program director regarding issues effecting shift performance. The best candidates have good listening and communication skills, writes clearly and informatively.
Has the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies or other service providers.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draws valid conclusions. Will be required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear. Must be able to lift up to 20lbs. Will not be considered for openings if affiliated with BILH within the last 6 months - per diem, perm or travel.
