A leading Massachusetts-based healthcare system is seeking a qualified and compassionate Travel Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW) to join its adult inpatient psychiatric team. This weekday-only role offers a meaningful opportunity to work with individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Coordinate and manage discharge planning and aftercare services
• Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation support, and brief therapeutic interventions
• Engage families as needed for short-term interventions and support
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams using electronic medical records (EPIC)
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required
• Licensure: Active Massachusetts LCSW or LICSW required at time of application
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting preferred

Skills:

• Familiarity with EPIC or other EMRs
• Motivational interviewing and short-term treatment techniques
• Understanding of managed care and utilization review
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexibly in a high-acuity environment

Contract & Compensation:

• Guaranteed 40 hours/week
