Job Overview

The Associate, Social Work & Marriage Family Therapy Clinic is responsible for providing clinical services across the life span. The Therapist applies psychological/counseling principles in the following areas: assessment, clinical interventions, research, training, case management, and consultation. The therapist is involved in integrating behavioral health services into a clinic setting. Responsibilities will include diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning. The Therapist provides a variety of interventions, such as individual, group, child, and family therapy. The Therapist performs interventions focusing on short-term problem-solving therapy, short-term cognitive behavioral therapy, brief psychodynamic therapy, crisis intervention, coping skills, substance abuse treatment, behavior modification, case consultations, and other evidence-based practice techniques. The Therapist is a multidisciplinary team member for both internal and external partners. The Therapist collaborates with the patient and the family to define the treatment goals and measures of treatment success by utilizing evidence-based outcome measures. Lastly, the Therapist attends various conferences/workshops concerning mental health treatment and is involved in several research studies or multidisciplinary projects.



Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services across the life span, including diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning.
  • Deliver interventions such as individual, group, child, and family therapy.
  • Utilize short-term problem-solving therapy, short-term cognitive behavioral therapy, brief psychodynamic therapy, crisis intervention, coping skills, substance abuse treatment, and behavior modification.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners; work with patients and families to define treatment goals and success measures.
  • Attend conferences/workshops and participate in research studies or multidisciplinary projects.


Minimum Requirements

  • Must be registered with the Board of Behavioral Science.
  • Masters degree required from a college or university accredited by CSWE, or by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education, or a recognized accrediting agency.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or English and other predominant language of the population served preferred.
  • A valid BLS certification or higher, following AHA or American Red Cross guidelines.
  • Direct experience with short-term problem-solving treatment (MHIP), cognitive-behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, brief psychodynamic therapy, family therapy, group therapy, child therapy, substance abuse treatment, and behavior modification is preferred.


Compensation

$68,640.00 - $85,800.00 annually

The range is subject to change.
