Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing support and counseling to individuals and families, particularly those facing challenges related to mental health, developmental disabilities, and crisis situations. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to promote the well-being of clients in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services using techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions for clients dealing with mental health issues, addiction, PTSD, and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients, including case management and crisis intervention.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper data collection for clinical research.
- Engage in home and community care activities to support clients in their natural environments.
- Work with children and families to provide child & family counseling, ensuring a supportive approach tailored to their unique situations.
- Utilize EMR systems for patient records management while adhering to medical terminology standards.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments for various populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with disabilities or autism.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills in areas such as behavioral therapy, clinical counseling, and special education.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in social work or a related field with a focus on mental health counseling or behavioral health.
- Familiarity with crisis management techniques and experience working with individuals experiencing crises or trauma.
- Knowledge of clinical research methodologies is preferred alongside experience in hospital settings or community-based care.
- Proficiency in medical coding systems such as CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 is advantageous.
- Experience in providing care for specific populations including those with Alzheimer's disease or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
