Gastro Center of Maryland is currently hiring a Full-Time Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to join our growing team! We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, is detail-oriented, and brings a positive, professional attitude to work each day.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to excellent customer service, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease. As a PCC, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients and providers by ensuring a smooth, efficient experience from check-in to follow-up.

What You’ll Do:

Warmly greet and check in patients, making sure all required paperwork is complete
Schedule and confirm appointments, coordinating effectively with providers
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a helpful, courteous, and professional way
Show compassion and understanding while maintaining professionalism at all times
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Verify insurance coverage and process claims
Assist with billing, collecting payments, and providing billing support
Manage referrals and coordinate care with outside providers
Collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient patient flow throughout the day

What We’re Looking For:

1+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting (preferred)
Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality (especially regarding PHI)
A team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for helping others
Customer-service mindset with the ability to stay calm and kind under pressure

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
