Clinical Supervisor (LMSW) – Long Island City, NY
Location: 32-45 Hunters Point Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $42/hour
About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Supervisor to oversee case management and clinical service delivery at one of our supportive housing programs. Reporting to the Assistant Program Director (APD), this individual plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of services delivered to our vulnerable populations, particularly individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, mental health, and substance use issues.
This position requires a licensed LMSW with supervisory experience and a strong background in case management and counseling. You’ll be responsible for assigning and supervising caseloads, conducting audits, guiding clinical documentation, developing programming, and ensuring high levels of service delivery across all case management functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign and oversee case management workload and priorities
- Audit client charts and ensure quality assurance and service planning compliance
- Train and supervise case managers; conduct performance evaluations
- Enforce and track home visit protocols
- Supervise development and review of service plans and reassessments
- Oversee referrals and coordination of mental health, substance use, medical, and social services
- Monitor occupancy and ensure timely placement of new clients
- Ensure clients receive and maintain access to eligible benefits and entitlements
- Conduct weekly supervision meetings with case management staff
- Coordinate intake processes and maintain regular communication with HASA
- Communicate building/unit concerns and participate in housing maintenance planning
- Complete documentation, statistical reports, and attend staff/community meetings
Skills & Qualifications
- LMSW required; minimum 4 years of supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of HIV/AIDS case management and HRA Congregate Housing guidelines
- Experience with counseling in mental health and substance use settings
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Culturally sensitive, community-focused, and flexible in approach
- Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish), experience in congregate housing settings
