Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physician Assistant to join our team. This role begins as part-time, with the opportunity to transition into full-time as our practice continues to grow. The ideal candidate has experience in psychiatry, is detail-oriented, and values collaborative patient care.
This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for children, adolescents, and adults
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management
- Collaborate with supervising/collaborating physician and the clinical team
- Document care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
- Communicate with families, therapists, and other providers as appropriate
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and professional standards of psychiatric care
Qualifications
- Current Physician Assistant license in Michigan (required)
- Current DEA license (required)
- Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Psychiatry preferred, but not required
- Prior psychiatric or behavioral health experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills
- Commitment to patient-centered, collaborative care
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly rate: $50–$65 depending on experience (part-time)
- Opportunity to transition into full-time salaried role, equivalent to $104,000–$135,000 annually
- Flexible scheduling within clinic hours
- Benefits eligibility if transitioned to full-time
