DAY TO DAY AS A COUNSELOR

As a Full-Time Counselor with Family Resources Inc., you will play a crucial role in providing essential counseling services to youth and families in both shelter and community settings. Your responsibilities will include helping clients identify challenges and develop effective solutions through a comprehensive approach that involves assessment, planning, case management, and various counseling formatsindividual, family, and group sessions. With an active caseload, youll maintain regular contact with clients, ensuring they receive the personalized support they need.

Clear and effective communication, both orally and in writing, will enable you to build and maintain productive working relationships with clients from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Familiarity with issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity is essential, along with a strong capacity for organization and sound judgment.

A Masters Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field, coupled with at least two years of post-graduate counseling experience, will further equip you to provide impactful services to those in need.
