About the FacilityAn inpatient psychiatric unit is seeking a psychiatrist for 1 week coverage. About the Facility LocationThe facility is located in upstate New York. About the Clinician's WorkdayA psychiatrist is needed to cover an inpatient geriatric behavioral health unit with a census of 812 patients aged 55 and older. The schedule includes on-site rounding from 8 AM to 5 PM (with some flexibility) and night call from 5 PM to 8 AM. The locum will be the sole psychiatrist on-site, supported by social workers and nurses, and will use Meditech for charting (training and dictation available). Geriatric fellowship is not required, but theyre seeking someone personable and team-oriented. If its a fit, credentialing begins immediately with a target start date of 9/15.
