JOB SUMMARY


The Documentation Analyst conducts account onboarding review and analysis of new and existing customers adhering to all US regulatory requirements; approves account relationships and account maintenance; conducts CDD annual reviews; maintains department’s log, and file management.  


DUTIES OF THE POSITION 


The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:  

 

  • Receive, review, rereview and analyze account opening documentation for various types of clients (Corporate, Personal, Credit, Financial Institution and other Relationships) within department’s deadlines. Experience reviewing legal entities for onboarding at a financial institution required.

  • Approve acceptance of relationship for low and moderate risk accounts

  • Adhere to all US regulatory requirements

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with branch’s policies and procedures as related to the processes conducted

  • Must have common sense, be organized and possess strong analytical and ethical skills

  • Must exercise discretion and independent judgment.

  • Must have the ability to take initiative and problem solving skills in order to resolve matters that affect the overall department’s deadlines.

  • Must maintain all relevant logs updated to reflect accurate information at all times.

  • Must have regular and predictable attendance and work the hours and/or shifts assigned, particularly during regular business hours, to communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and customers with whom interaction is required to accomplish and complete work assignments and meet company goals within established deadlines 

  • Must provide timely and appropriate responses to requests for information and/or  customer complaints or concerns and provide appropriate follow up to ensure issues are resolved. 

  • Must maintain courteous, professional and effective internal and external working relationships

  • Must receive and provide clear, constructive feedback in a cooperative and professional manner, as well as, recommendations and reports for improvements.   

  • Ability to understand, speak, read and write English and Spanish (at least Intermediate level)

  • Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees  

  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

  •  Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position  

  • Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities (including, weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)  

  • Travel as required  

  • Provide coverage for other positions as requested  

  • Ability to carry and lift boxes and objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES 


In the performance of their duties, all Bci - Miami Branch staff members are required to comply with all state and federal regulatory and legal requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1979, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and the Bank Bribery Amendments Act. Additionally, all staff members must comply with Bci’s Personnel Manual and Code of Ethics and other policies of Bci which are either currently in place or which may become effective during the staff member’s employment.  



PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION: 


COMPUTER: 

Ability to operate IBM compatible personal computers; fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint at an intermediate level and ability to use other software as follows: (1) Datapro - IBS, (2) Sydel/Complixpert System, (3) BSA Radar, (4) IDOC, (5) ICOLD, (6) CHECK, (7) LexisNexis/Worldcompliance.etc. 

 

EDUCATION: 

Bachelor’s degree (B.A) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school equivalent in a related field of study.  

 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: 

FIBA AML certification and/or any other BSA related certification preferred. 


EXPERIENCE:  

A minimum of three years of BSA/AML analyst experience in the banking industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Knowledge of banking laws and regulations; Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act is required.
