A school-based social worker position is available in Naperville, IL, serving K-12 students across a full school year contract. This role focuses on supporting students social, emotional, and behavioral needs within an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention plans.
  • Conduct assessments and develop case plans to support students facing issues such as bullying, trauma, and family difficulties.
  • Connect students and families to community resources and services as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate student support.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensure or certification as a social worker in Illinois.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of K-12 educational systems and community resources.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with crisis intervention and behavior management techniques.
