A full-time Social Worker position is available for a leave contract from September 2 to October 31, serving K-5 students at an elementary school in Joliet, IL. This role focuses on providing essential social and emotional support to young learners, collaborating with educators, families, and community resources to promote student well-being and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and address social, emotional, and behavioral needs of K-5 students
  • Develop individualized support plans and interventions
  • Provide crisis intervention and counseling services
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student development
  • Connect families with community resources and services
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Social Work or related field; Licensed or Certified Social Worker preferred
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-5)
  • Understanding of social-emotional learning and child development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Familiarity with community resources and support networks

Location:

  • Elementary school setting in Joliet, Illinois
