A dynamic opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support K-12 students in a vibrant school setting in Schenectady, NY. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and is ideal for professionals passionate about contributing to student success and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and support services addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and offer expert recommendations
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Promote a positive, inclusive school environment through proactive interventions
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure appropriate for New York State
- Experience working with diverse K-12 populations
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in school psychology
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently within a fast-paced educational setting
