A school district in Waterbury, CT, is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for an elementary setting to provide support during a leave contract from October 10 through March, with the possibility of extension. This position offers the opportunity to work primarily with elementary students while also conducting some assessments for high school and secondary students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for elementary and secondary students
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to develop intervention plans
  • Provide counseling and support to students with diverse needs
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student academic and behavioral planning
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state regulations

Qualifications:

  • Active School Psychologist certification in Connecticut
  • Masters degree in School Psychology
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children; familiarity with secondary-level assessments is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Schedule & Location:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:40 a.m. to 3:25 p.m., with schedule flexibility available upon approval
  • Position based at an elementary school in Waterbury, CT
