A K-12 school located in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a contract position throughout the current school year (CSY). This role offers an opportunity to support students academic, emotional, and social development within a dynamic educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop intervention plans
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to educational planning
  • Support positive behavioral practices and promote mental health awareness within the school community

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • State certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations
  • Strong skills in psychological assessment, counseling, and behavior management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
  • Knowledge of IDEA and other relevant educational regulations
