This full-time clinical leadership role is based at a K-12 school in Staten Island, NY, overseeing mental health operations in a contracted position for the school year. The Clinical Director, who must hold licensure as an LCSW or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD), manages all mental health services in compliance with New York State and Office of Mental Health (OMH) regulations. This position is pivotal in supporting the well-being and educational success of students across all grade levels.
Key responsibilities include supervising clinical services delivered by a multidisciplinary team of licensed social workers, psychologists, and creative arts therapists. The Clinical Director actively participates in the intake process for new student referrals and monitors ongoing student progress to ensure appropriate placements. Leadership duties involve guiding weekly clinical team meetings and organizing monthly full clinical meetings to maintain high standards of care. Collaboration with educational and clinical supervisors on the school leadership team is essential to integrate mental health supports with overall program operations.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) with active credentials
- Clinical leadership experience within school or community-based mental health settings
- Comprehensive knowledge of NY State and OMH mental health regulations and contract compliance
- Strong skills in team coordination, clinical supervision, and interdisciplinary collaboration
