A K-12 school in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a contract position during the current school year. This role provides critical psychological services to support student well-being and academic success within a diverse educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and behavioral interventions to support students social-emotional development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress and adjust interventions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure in New Jersey.
- Experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and families.
