Full-Time School-Based Psychiatrist New Braunfels, TX (Onsite or Hybrid, K5 Caseload)

Blazer Jobs is interviewing experienced Psychiatrists for a full-time contract role with a school district in New Braunfels, TX. This position will serve a K5 student population and can be worked onsite or in a hybrid format, depending on district needs. The ideal candidate will have experience providing psychiatric services to children and collaborating in a school-based setting, with a strong preference for those experienced in special education.

Requirements:

Must meet all state and local licensure requirements for practicing as a Psychiatrist
Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
Strong background working with special education students and families highly preferred
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Typical Job Duties:

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for elementary-aged students
Develop, implement, and oversee individualized treatment plans
Provide medication management and adjust prescriptions as needed
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support student needs
Participate in IEP meetings and offer psychiatric recommendations for educational planning
Provide crisis intervention and safety planning when necessary
Maintain detailed and compliant documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
Offer professional consultation to school staff and families on mental health support strategies
