Position HighlightsThe College of Medicine-Tucson, Department of Psychiatry is leading the effort to understand, diagnose, treat, and prevent psychiatric disorders, prepare future clinicians, provide state-of-the-art care, and give direction to community efforts to improve behavioral health. We are looking to hire Research Technician I positions that will conduct and support human subjects research by setting up and conducting study tasks in lab during sleep deprivation studies. The candidates will adhere to study protocol procedures and administers techniques to fit specific experiment requirements; and assist with the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment, instruments, and apparatuses. **Overnight and weekend shifts will be required for this position.**

Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect computerized behavioral data from research participants during overnight sleep deprivation study runs.
- Apply scalp electrodes for polysomnography/EEG studies. Monitor polysomnography and EEG signals during sleep.
- Maintain highly detailed records, organize data, prepare data for computer input, and record computer output.
- Assist with the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment, instruments, and apparatuses.
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Previous work experience in a lab.
