Job Summary:

GraceWorks Counseling is a Christ-centered counseling practice dedicated to providing compassionate, clinically excellent, and biblically grounded mental health care to individuals, couples, and families. Our mission is to promote healing and transformation through the integration of faith and evidence-based counseling approaches.

We are seeking a dedicated and spiritually mature Mental Health Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate is a licensed clinician who is passionate about integrating a biblical worldview with professional mental health services. This person will provide individual, couples, and/or family counseling in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide professional, ethical, and culturally competent counseling services in alignment with biblical values.

• Conduct intake assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing therapy to clients.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with team members for case consultations and participate in regular staff meetings.

• Respect and support the client’s spiritual beliefs and integrate biblical principles when requested or appropriate.

• Participate in community outreach, workshops, or ministry opportunities as needed.

• Stay current with professional development and continuing education.

Required Qualifications:

• Personal commitment to biblical values and alignment with the mission and values of Green Acres Baptist Church.

• Ability to respectfully and thoughtfully integrate biblical worldview and prayer into the therapeutic process.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in faith-based counseling or working in a ministry setting.

• Training in trauma-informed care, marriage counseling, and adolescent therapy.

• Willingness to work some evenings or weekends.

Education and Experience:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.

• Active and unrestricted license in the state of Texas (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD).

• Experience providing mental health counseling in a clinical setting.

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting: Frequently or for extended periods (e.g., during sessions or documentation)

• Standing/Walking: Occasionally required, especially in group settings.

• Use of hands for typing, writing, and handling documents.

• Hearing and speaking are essential for effective communication with clients, families, and colleagues.

• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus is often required.
