Job Overview: Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of adults living with serious mental illness? At Acenda, our Adult Residential Program provides a supportive, supervised living environment that empowers people to thrive in the least restrictive setting possible. As a Residential Counselor, you'll be an essential part of a collaborative care team-working side-by-side with nurses, supervisors, and directors to support individualized rehabilitation goals. Key Responsibilities:
• Build meaningful connections by fostering a supportive, respectful, and empowering environment where residents feel safe and valued.
• Support independence and daily success by assisting residents with personal care, meal prep, and household tasks, encouraging confidence and life skills.
• Bring care plans to life by actively implementing and monitoring individualized treatment goals that promote emotional, physical, and social wellness.
• Lead engaging group activities and therapeutic programs that strengthen daily living skills, boost confidence, and help residents connect with their community.
• Ensure high-quality care through timely, accurate documentation of progress, challenges, and significant observations.
• Be a valued team player by collaborating closely with supervisors, nurses, and medical professionals to provide consistent, compassionate care.
Requirements:
• Minimum requirement is a High school diploma or equivalent, plus four years related mental health experience.
• Professionalism and a commitment to excellence in care
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Additional Information:
• Starting Compensation: $18.50
• Sign on bonus: $500
• Bilingual-Spanish differential: $1.50/hourly
