Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and a passion for helping individuals improve their mental health and well-being. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those facing mental health challenges. The Therapist will provide individual and group counseling, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address clients' mental health needs.
- Provide support and counseling for clients dealing with addiction, autism, or developmental disabilities.
- Work with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring a supportive environment that fosters growth.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in behavioral health.
Qualifications
- Masters in Psychology, Social Work or Mental Health.
- License Intern or full license in Social Work or Mental Health.
- OR Registered Art Therapist (ATR), Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), Art Therapy Certified Supervisor (ATCS)
- Experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of art therapy techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices and approaches.
- Understanding of dementia care principles is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds.
- Proficient in medical documentation practices, adhering to HIPAA standards.
- A relevant degree in therapy or counseling is required; licensure or certification may be necessary depending on the specific role.
