A respected community-based addiction recovery center in New York is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide outpatient addiction treatment for adult patients. Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing care for adults in an outpatient addiction recovery program.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as appropriate.
• DEA-X waiver required (or eligibility) to prescribe buprenorphine for opioid use disorder treatment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver holistic, patient-centered treatment.
• Document all patient encounters using the facility’s EMR system.

Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in New York.
• Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• DEA-X waiver (or eligibility to obtain).
• 1–3 years of psychiatry or addiction medicine experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills in a recovery-focused setting.

Position Details

• Schedule: Discussed during interview process – Full-time, 35 hours per week on-site (telepsych not available).
• Pay: $50–$100 per hour (locum contract).
• Outpatient community-based setting.
• Adult population (18+).
