Join a supportive and mission-driven team as an In-Home Behavior Support Specialist in Long Island (Suffolk)! We’re seeking passionate individuals to work one-on-one with children with autism and developmental disabilities—right in their homes.

Whether you're building a career in psychology, education, or social work, or simply want a fulfilling part-time role, this is a great opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s life—while enjoying flexible scheduling and ongoing support.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide compassionate, one-on-one support to children in their homes across Brooklyn.
  • Implement personalized behavior plans created by licensed professionals.
  • Teach important life skills and help reduce challenging behaviors through play-based, evidence-based methods.
  • Track progress using simple behavior data collection tools (we’ll train you!).
  • Communicate with supervisors to help adjust and improve intervention strategies.
  • Bring positivity, patience, and encouragement to every session.

Why You’ll Love This Job:

  • Flexible hours – choose shifts that fit your schedule (including evenings & weekends)
  • Perfect for students, recent grads, career changers, or those looking for rewarding part-time work
  • Build skills that are valuable in psychology, education, therapy, and social work
  • Be part of a friendly, supportive, and collaborative team that cares about your success

You’d Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field is a plus)
  • Have experience working with children (especially those with autism or developmental disabilities – preferred but not required)
  • Are a strong communicator and a team player
  • Are dependable, patient, and excited to learn
  • Speak a second language (like Spanish or Mandarin)? That’s a plus!
  • Are comfortable traveling within Brooklyn for in-home sessions

Make a Difference, Starting Now

This isn’t just another job—it’s a chance to support families, and help kids thrive in a safe and familiar setting: their own homes.

If you're ready to take the next step, we’d love to hear from you.
