Job Summary:
Innerlight Community Advocates is seeking a compassionate and skilled Qualified Mental Health Professional/Registered Behavior Technician to provide case management and skills training for individuals with mental health needs, as well as providing one-on-one ABA therapy, ensuring personalized care and treatment. This role involves directly supporting minor and adult clients in homes, schools, or other community settings, delivering trauma-informed and client-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide case management services including resource coordination, referrals for housing, employment, and other social services.
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in both to clients based on individualized treatment plans, ensuring the effective delivery of services across both languages.
- Deliver skills training focused on coping strategies, emotional regulation, and life skills to support clients' long-term recovery.
- Apply behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as designed by the BCBA or Clinical Director, focusing on teaching new skills, reducing maladaptive behaviors, and promoting positive behavior changes.
- Collaborate with other providers including therapists, psychiatrists, and other case managers to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of therapy sessions, client progress, and incidents to ensure proper documentation.
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review and update client care plans.
- Engage with clients in community-based settings, empowering them to access the resources and skills needed for success.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an RBT or in a similar role providing ABA therapy and 2 years of experience working in case management.
- Eligibility as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Community Services (QMHP-CS) in Texas.
- Bachelor’s degree in special education, education, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Current RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices for treating mental health disorders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust with diverse client populations.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community-based visits.
Preferred Skills:
- Fluency in both English and Spanish
- Experience working with Medicaid populations or underserved communities.
- Familiarity with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques, excellent communication abilities, and capacity to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Experience working with wraparound care and collaborating with other service providers to ensure comprehensive client care.
