Registered Behavior Technician Coordinator

Job Summary:
The RBT Coordinator is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) responsible for overseeing and
coordinating the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) program at Thrive. This role includes
supervising RBT staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality behavioral services, maintaining accurate
and up-to-date client plans and documentation, and stepping in to manage other BCBA caseloads as
needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Oversight: Supervise and coordinate the activities of all RBTs to ensure fidelity in implementing
IBSPs.
Training and Development: Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and competency evaluations for RBT staff.
Caseload Coverage: Fill in and manage caseloads for other BCBAs when needed, ensuring continuity of client
care.
Plan Management: Maintain, update, and monitor all clients’ Individual Program Plans (IPP), Individual
Behavior Support Plans (IBSP), and related treatment documentation to ensure alignment with treatment goals
and regulatory standards.
Compliance: Ensure RBT services adhere to all regulatory, ethical, and organizational standards.
Documentation: Review and maintain accurate records, data, and reports related to behavioral services and RBT
performance.
RBT Supervision: Conduct monthly supervision meetings with all RBT staff, complete in-person observations to
assess skill implementation, and provide feedback for performance improvement.
Training Creation: Develop and implement targeted trainings based on observation data, staff needs, and updates
to treatment protocols.
Performance Monitoring: Track and document RBT progress, ensuring adherence to behavior plans, ethical
guidelines, and client goals.
Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management to support program success.
Qualifications:
Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field, with at least three years of
experience providing ABA services.
Must complete the BACB-required 8-hour Supervisor Training Course prior to providing RBT supervision.
Experience supervising RBTs and developing behavior intervention plans.
Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, ethics, and best practices.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, excellent communication and organizational skills, and
proficiency in clinical documentation and data analysis.
Certification in Professional Crisis Management (PCM), Ukeru, First Aid, and CPR (hands-on instruction
required) prior to independent work with clients.
Fingerprint clearance (Livescan) and physical health screening, including tuberculosis test, required prior to
employment.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, lift, climb, stoop, kneel, and move intermittently. Must be able to frequently lift/move
up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift more than 50 lbs.
Valid driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance.
