Minimum Qualifications for BCBA:
- Education: Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, special education, early childhood development/education, pediatric therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Certification: Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for at least four years, licensed in Michigan.
- Experience:
- Two years of related professional experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and/or other related developmental disabilities in a multi-disciplinary team setting
- Knowledgeable of methodologies found to benefit children diagnosed with ASD, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), knowledge of the VB MAPP and the ABBLS, the PEERS
- Familiarity with early intervention and community resources for children
- Sensitive to working with a diverse population
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing; American Sign Language or bilingual ability preferred
- Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills
- Maintains confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment
- Appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations
- Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software
- Travel to multiple work sites; reliable transportation needed, proof of valid driver license and auto insurance
About the Role
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Easterseals MORC, you will design and oversee individualized ABA programs that change lives for children, youth, and young adults with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. You will:
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and track progress toward meaningful goals.
Supervise and coach Behavior Technicians, providing clinical support and parent coaching.
Lead home visits, treatment updates, and interdisciplinary collaboration with providers, teachers, and caregivers.
Support families through complex behavioral or mental health crises, equipping them with tools to promote safety and stability.
Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation, meet productivity requirements, and ensure services meet authorization guidelines.
Travel to multiple work sites as needed (reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance required).
