Lead Psychiatric Technician

Salary: $3,775.00 Monthly ($45,300 Annually)
Department: Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute (MTMHI), Davidson County
Work Type: On-site
Background Check Required

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Two years of experience in providing direct care, training, or medical assistance to individuals.

Substitution:

  • 12 semester hours (or 400 vocational training hours) in nursing/nursing assistance or a nursing assistant certificate may substitute for one year of experience. 12 semester hours is equivalent to 18 quarter hours of college course work.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care:

  • Assist with daily living needs, medical care, and emergency procedures.
  • Escort patients to appointments and activities.

Supervision & Training:

  • Train and mentor staff, and coordinate shift schedules.

Safety & Monitoring:

  • Monitor patient behavior, ensure safety, and perform room checks.
