Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As a BCBA, you will be an integral part of the Modern Support Services team, ensuring the implementation of ethical practice, and consistently working towards achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Represent the agency professionally and ethically concerning policies and procedures of the organization and guided by professional rules and legal practices.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), and/or Adaptive Skills Training Assessments.
  • Conduct in-person visits to the assigned client at least twice a week. Each supervision visit involves demonstrating and monitoring the appropriate implementation of protocols by therapists, collecting treatment integrity data, evaluating therapists, reviewing programs, conducting parent training, etc.
  • Design, evaluate, and adjust behavior acquisition programs and behavior reduction protocols according to best practices and feedback provided by the circle of support
  • Clearly describes all program goals and procedures to parent/support staff and therapist/(s) when there are changes made to the program.
  • Collaborate with families and other professionals to tailor ABA programs to specific client needs.
  • Provide parent and staff training for each client.
  • Supervise direct care staff (i.e., behavior therapists) and travel between regionalized clients.
  • Conduct behavioral assessments to evaluate the progress of current clients every six months.
  • Evaluate and update client progress reports via data collection software.
  • Conduct monthly clinic meetings with caretakers and behavior therapists to review clients' progress.
  • Follows up on all parental concerns and discussion points taken place during field visits and/or clinical team meetings.
  • Write progress and final reports according to funding sources' regulations and submit them on time to the circle of support
  • Maintain all client protocols, programs, and materials in their corresponding folders in CodeMetro or a comparable system.
  • Able to work with a diverse team of professionals to provide clients with the best behavioral services possible.
  • Maintain the minimum billable requirement of 54 hours per month or 90% percent contract fulfillment.
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations, as needed.
  • Review and resolve complaints from clients and funding source personnel.
  • Communicate clients' progress, program needs, operation issues, clinical issues, staff changes, and any other important information with the support coordinator
  • Attend monthly supervisors' meetings and other mandatory meetings and training.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of good staff relations.
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and text messages within 24 hours.
  • Establishes and maintains professional boundaries with clients, administrative staff, and all other employees and colleagues.
  • Takes a problem-solving approach and makes attempts to engage in workable solutions within the boundaries of company policies and procedures with guidance and feedback from the support coordinator and/or director of client and family services
