Senior Coordinator of Research Programs - Psychology

The Psychology department is searching for a Senior Coordinator of Research Programs who will will work closely with Dr. Fairbairn and other lab members to manage Dr. Fairbairn's research laboratory in the area of substance use at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Running participants through experimental protocols and managing data from these protocols
- Literature searching, data cleaning, proofreading, and data analysis in support of new research directions
- Support with new study startup and pilot data collection
- Aiding in the setup of satellite laboratory locations
- Composing reports and overseeing communications between the laboratory and regulatory agencies (Institutional Review Board Applications, National Institutes of Health reports)
- Overseeing communications and supporting positive partnerships between the laboratory and vendors, agencies, recruitment partners, and academic collaborators
- Aiding in oversight of financial, business, payment, payroll, and purchasing transactions
- Aiding in the hiring, training, and management of laboratory staff and trainees.
- Providing troubleshooting support when issues arise with individual projects and backup coverage to experimental team members
- Helping to support the development of trainees and the fostering of a positive working climate.
- Managing cross-project laboratory tasks and activities including laboratory training curriculums, laboratory gatherings, and the development and maintenance of the physical laboratory space
- Development and maintenance of an effective laboratory recruitment pipeline across studies
- Aiding in the development of quality-control procedures to ensure data integrity Providing oversight surrounding data quality and storage.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, management, business, communications, information science, or related discipline.
- One year of fulltime research and/or project management experience in addiction science or equivalent.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the deadline date. The budgeted salary range for the position is $48,000 to $50,000. We strive to provide a competitive salary, considering factors such as available market data, internal equity, candidate experience and qualifications, collective bargaining agreements, and budget constraints. The final salary offer will be determined through a thorough assessment of these elements. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position. In addition, the candidate for this position will be expected to work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus on a full-time basis per the University’s Workplace Flexibility policy at https://cam.illinois.edu/policies/hr-87-2/
