SUMMARY

Family Service League is seeking a full-time Social Worker for the DASH (Diagnostic, Assessment, and Stabilization Hub) Crisis Center. The DASH Crisis Center is a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week outpatient crisis stabilization program that includes a 24-hour crisis hotline and mobile response team. The Social Worker will be responsible for intakes, individual and group therapy, and clinical documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Social Worker will conduct intake assessments.
  • Provide individual and group therapy to adults, adolescents and children with the full range of DSM diagnoses, including both mental health and substance use disorders, in an acute care, outpatient setting.
  • The Social Worker will complete all clinical documentation in accordance with NYS Office of Mental Health in an electronic medical record.
  • Provide linkages and follow up to clients during stabilization period and immediately following.
  • The Social Worker will coordinate with outside providers and collateral contacts.
  • Attend routine supervisions and team meetings.
  • Coordinate treatment with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Complete trainings and maintain proficiency with de-escalation and crisis intervention skills.
  • All other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s Degree required.

LMSW, LMHC, LMFT or related licensed clinical degree required.

Minimum of 6 months of experience in a behavioral health setting required. Clinical experience preferred.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office required. Experience with an Electronic Health Record preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required.

Ability to problem solve, multitask, make clear decisions and work as part of a team required.

Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Evening and weekend hours may be required.

Valid and clean NYS Driver’s License and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle is required for the Mobile Response Team.
