POSITION SUMMARY
Victim Advocates at Portal To Hope ("PTH") provide emergency response and direct care support to people whose lives have been impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking crimes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: (i) crisis intervention, emergency shelter assistance and safety planning; (ii) case management, documentation and reporting; (iii) court accompanied advocacy; (iv) outreach and community and school-based presentations; (v) collaboration with program partners and community leaders; and (vi) other duties.
Position Locations: Everett, Lynn, Malden, Medford, Winthrop, and off-site
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice, psychology or related social service field; or Associate's Degree with a minimum of one year's experience in crime victim
- Experience in case management, crisis intervention and safety planning with an ability to handle sensitive information and maintain
- Outstanding workplace professionalism with excellent interpersonal skills, organizational and writing skills, and time
- Basic computer and Internet skills with proficiency in Excel
- Valid driver's license, as limited travel may be required at
- Certification in domestic violence and/or sexual training preferred and will be required to be completed upon
- Bilingual or multilingual language proficiencies

Part-time - Up to 25.0 hours per week; $20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience
