Job Summary
The Care Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and efficient care. This position involves coordinating patient care activities, managing medical records, and providing administrative support within a medical office setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a keen understanding of medical terminology, enabling them to effectively communicate with both patients and healthcare professionals and be proficient with computers/EMR.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up visits to ensure continuity of care.
• Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist patients with insurance inquiries and eligibility verification.
• Provide administrative support to healthcare providers, including scheduling, filing, and data entry.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care plans, treatment options, and any necessary follow-up actions.
• Maintain an organized office environment to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with medical staff to streamline processes and improve patient experiences.

Experience

• Previous experience in a medical office or dental office is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Experience in providing medical administrative support is highly valued.
• General office experience that demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail is beneficial.
