About the Practice:
We are a growing private practice specializing in the treatment of addictions, disordered eating, and the support of individuals and families impacted by these challenges. As a growing practice, we are dedicated to providing ethical, evidence-based, and compassionate care to a diverse client population. We accept a variety of insurance plans including Aetna, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum, and others.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a licensed professional counselor (LPC) to join our team as an independent contractor to assist with client overflow. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with individuals affected by substance use, disordered eating, or related family systems issues. This is a flexible, part-time role with opportunities to grow a caseload based on availability and clinical fit.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy to clients referred within the practice scope
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with state and insurance requirements
- Coordinate care and communicate effectively with the practice owner as needed
- Uphold ethical and professional standards as defined by your licensing board and applicable law
- Comply with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations
- Participate in occasional case consultations (optional, but encouraged)
Requirements:
- Active LPC license in the state of Pennsylvania
- Experience or strong interest in working with addictions, disordered eating, and/or family systems
- Must carry own professional liability insurance
- Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with the practice’s mission and values
- Availability to hold a minimum of 5-10 client sessions per week to start
Preferred Qualifications:
- Already credentialed with Aetna, United, BCBS, Optum, or related panels (or willing to go through credentialing)
- Training in evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, MI, IFS, etc.)
- Comfortable with telehealth platforms and/or EMRs (we use Zoom).
