Medical Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator (Bi-Lingual – Spanish)

Lawrenceville, GA | $17–$21/hr + Performance Bonuses | No Weekends
Part-Time (20–28 hrs/week) or Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

Responsibilities
Patient Coordination & Advocacy: Guide patients from intake through discharge, while supporting patient advocate programs.
Scheduling & Communication: Manage evaluations, follow-ups, reminders, and cancellations.
Front Desk Operations: Greet patients, handle multi-line phones, and ensure smooth patient check-ins.
Insurance & Payments: Verify coverage, track authorized visits, collect co-pays, and send paperwork to billing partners.
Referral Management: Track referrals, send physician reports, and maintain accurate logs.
Clinical Support (Light): Assist physical therapists with equipment setup and wipe-down between patients.
Daily Operations: Process mail, organize Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and keep communication flowing.
Skills & Qualifications
Bilingual in English & Spanish (required) – must be able to communicate clearly and compassionately with a diverse patient population.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree (AS) in a healthcare-related field preferred.
Experience in a medical or healthcare office strongly preferred – familiarity with patient scheduling, insurance verification, or referral tracking is highly valued.
Strong organizational skills – able to manage scheduling, referrals, and multiple tasks without losing detail.
Dependable and punctual – must be reliable with consistent attendance.
Tech-savvy – comfortable with scheduling software, EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office/Google tools.
Professional communication skills – able to interact confidently with patients, physicians, and staff both in person and by phone.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic while staying calm and patient-focused.
Team player – willing to assist physical therapists with light clinical support (equipment setup and wipe-down).
