Why This Role is a Career Launchpad

At FYZICAL Lawrenceville, this is more than just a front desk role — it’s a stepping stone into leadership positions within healthcare operations. You’ll gain real-world experience in patient advocacy, referral management, insurance processes, and discharge coordination, all while making a difference in people’s lives.

If you’re bilingual (English/Spanish), detail-oriented, and enjoy connecting with people, this is your chance to start building a healthcare career with purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Coordination & Advocacy: Guide patients from intake through discharge, while supporting patient advocate programs.

  • Scheduling & Communication: Manage evaluations, follow-ups, reminders, and cancellations.

  • Front Desk Operations: Greet patients, handle multi-line phones, and ensure smooth patient check-ins.

  • Insurance & Payments: Verify coverage, track authorized visits, collect co-pays, and send paperwork to billing partners.

  • Referral Management: Track referrals, send physician reports, and maintain accurate logs.

  • Clinical Support (Light): Assist physical therapists with equipment setup and wipe-down between patients.

  • Daily Operations: Process mail, organize Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and keep communication flowing.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English & Spanish (required) – must be able to communicate clearly and compassionately with a diverse patient population.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree (AS) in a healthcare-related field preferred.

  • Experience in a medical or healthcare office strongly preferred – familiarity with patient scheduling, insurance verification, or referral tracking is highly valued.

  • Strong organizational skills – able to manage scheduling, referrals, and multiple tasks without losing detail.

  • Dependable and punctual – must be reliable with consistent attendance.

  • Tech-savvy – comfortable with scheduling software, EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office/Google tools.

  • Professional communication skills – able to interact confidently with patients, physicians, and staff both in person and by phone.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic while staying calm and patient-focused.

  • Team player – willing to assist physical therapists with light clinical support (equipment setup and wipe-down).
