Position Summary

We are seeking compassionate and motivated Behavior Aides / Adaptive Skills Providers to support residents in building independent living skills and managing behaviors within a structured group home environment. This is an on-site, hands-on role working directly with adult residents who benefit from behavioral structure and skill-building support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to residents to develop adaptive skills such as hygiene routines, emotional regulation, communication, and social skills
• Implement behavior support strategies under the direction of a supervisor or behavior consultant
• Support residents during personal care, meals, recreation, and community outings
• Redirect and de-escalate challenging behaviors using trauma-informed care practices
• Track progress and complete accurate daily documentation and incident reports
• Collaborate with caregivers, med techs, and facility leadership
• Uphold resident rights and maintain a respectful, safe environment
• Follow facility policies and state regulations (NRS/NAC 449)

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years or older
• Previous experience working in a group home, behavioral health, or support role preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass TB test, background check
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with TBI, autism, mental illness, or developmental disabilities

Schedule

• Day, evening, and weekend shifts available
• On-site only (no remote work)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
