Position Summary
Blackbird Health is looking for a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care and be empowered to make a tangible difference in the lives of young patients and their families.

- Passion for our mission to redefine behavioral health for children and their families
- Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to children and/or adolescents is desired
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with patients, provider partners, and colleagues
- Open to professional and clinical feedback and interested in working in a supporting and collegial clinical environment.
- Appreciate the value of operating in a collaborative and cooperative environment.
- Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness.
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy services by meeting with patients regularly to provide counseling, individualized treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Evaluate new clients through biopsychosocial/diagnostic assessments
- Invest in your patient relationships by establishing positive, trusting rapport with patients
- Because we must work within a child's school schedule, we incentivize our clinicians to provide availability during Blackbird's core after-school hours
- Collaborate with other specialty providers (i.e., CRNPs, EF Coaches, Speech therapists) to establish an Integrated Treatment Plan
- Comply with minimum clinical time expectations per week after onboarding and acclimation to the role
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress and maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress
- Involve and advise family members or outside specialists when appropriate
- Flexibility to work a minimum of 15 hours per week during our peak "after school hours" defined as after 4pm ET during the week or any time on weekends.
- Active licensure in Virginia as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
